a sudden hail storm inspired a different interpretation of the word “water” than i had planned. emrys and noah were wide eyed at the huge piles of snow balls all over the yard and insisted on going out for a snowball fight before they all melted away.

i caught wren outside today in our big willow tree out back reading “anne of green gables”. she was relaxing and enjoying summer the same way i used to as a kid. so it seemed appropriate to title today’s picture memories
high above wren’s head, hiding in the shadows, our cat ashes was watching, ready to pounce when she least expected it 😆
dolly a day july 2-4
the second day and already i’m behind, but i had a specific image in my head for the word “blanket” and i just couldn’t let it go. it took this long to finish the pajamas i needed to make it work.
after i took the picture though, i saw the reflections in the floor and decided i would rather use this picture for that theme ( i do have three days to catch up after all ;))
so i used this one instead for “blanket”.
and of course how can you have a blanket without a “pillow”?
btw the pj’s are the prototype for my newest line on etsy .

trying a new doll a day challenge. i’ll have to see how many days we can get this month. my record is only 11 so it shouldn’t be too hard to beat should it? we’ll see though…
anyway today’s word was secrets and i caught emrys and noah spying on crystalorn and alys as they whispered secrets to each other on the front porch. seemed perfect to me…
checking out the flood
emrys and noah went with me to see the flood and somehow emrys ended up tangled in police tape that was supposed to keep everyone back….
i think these two boys are going to be trouble together…

my adorable girl molly, the pictures don’t do her justice but it continues to pour rain here. half the province is in a state of emergency, much of the city is shut down with the worst flooding in decades, it seems silly to complain when all we have is poor lighting, and no way to go out for pictures without getting soaked, but it has been a very long spring :sigh

i was told that we were going to be getting twin girls at the manor – alys and aerin. imagine my surprise when the twins arrived and they were not 2 girls but a girl and a boy – alys and emrys! i’m not sure where the mix up occured but we are going to have to change the sleeping arrangements … and also try to find different clothes for emrys… the dresses i had got just won’t work! noah is, needless to say, thrilled at the arrival of another boy! 😆

i saw the dress and snagged it ’cause it was so cute even though none of my girls will wear anything this frilly. but to my surprise it turned out to be the perfect welcome home dress for wren! (which is great ’cause i haven’t been able to sew lately and she would have had to sit around nude otherwise )
