more peacocks
peacocks really are the most amazing birds. they look so regal and arrogant, but i think they need a bunch of little bird pages to follow them around and keep their tails from dragging in the dirt.
blowing kisses
noni and beezie blow kisses to their friends. they’ve been exploring the garden and beezie found a bee-yu-ti-ful flower. don’t let her demure look fool you, i had to bribe her to wear a dress and even then she adamantly refused to take off her goggles!
digory’s skateboard goes everywhere
digory loves his skateboard so much he takes it everywhere. we dragged it up the mountain on our hike and he tried to ride it on the rocks. rather a bumpy ride i think, but he didn’t care.
indian paintbrush
unlike so many wildflowers which are somewhat quiet and unassuming compared to garden flowers, the indian paintbrush is a very flamboyant plant
aint nothin’ gonna stop us now
i love the idea of something so delicate growing amid the rocks. instead of being overwhelmed by the hardships, it finds a way through and out into the sunlight, much sturdier for the effort than our pampered garden plants, whose every whim is catered to.
digory had to go in for a closer look too
christmas is coming….
digory found a tree in the woods that he said would be the perfect size for a christmas tree. he didn’t want to hear that christmas is too far off, or that we weren’t allowed to dig up or cut down trees in the provincial park. i think he just wants presents 😆
