abandoned dock
we went up to see mica dam (outside of revestoke bc). as it turned out we couldn’t actually get close to the dam and since i had the macro lens on my camera i couldn’t get any shots that really looked like much, but the road to it was lovely, and there were several neat places to explore where the old highway went in and out of the river(lake?) now that the water level is higher because of the dams. i’ll be posting pictures over the next week or so as i get them uploaded.
here is the first set: eilidh exploring an abandoned dock.
apparently several of the places the highway disappears into the lake make good boat launches, but this one isn’t being used for anything anymore. still i found it rather picturesque. eilidh just thought it was fun! 😉
the boys explore
after we settled into the hotel and had dinner, the little boys snuck out to the construction site down the road. we found them playing on “really big trucks!”
exploring
dovey loves to explore and seldom lets being in a chair slow her down, though it does make her a bit of a loner sometimes as she often takes off by herself on solitary rambles while the other tinies are playing different games. most of the time she prefers it that way, being a little bit quiet and introspective.
doll a day july 17 remember
remember when you were a child and the world was anything you dreamed? noah and emrys were playing “race car” with this old fungus on a log
doll a day 16 searching
the girls played hide and seek in the flower garden. i’ll leave it to you to decide who was the most successful…

one of our favorite places to stop when we travel is beside creeks streams or rivers, which of course almost always entails a bridge of some sort. boys being boys, noah and emrys had to climb on the underside of this old rusted bridge.
