{"id":4332,"date":"2018-11-24T00:10:42","date_gmt":"2018-11-24T07:10:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onebluestocking.ca\/blog\/?p=4332"},"modified":"2018-11-24T00:10:42","modified_gmt":"2018-11-24T07:10:42","slug":"megs-new-hats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onebluestocking.ca\/blog\/?p=4332","title":{"rendered":"megs new hats."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i hat a little bit of yarn left over from my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ravelry.com\/projects\/auntbear\/lost-and-wandering-there-and-back-again\">lost and wandering socks<\/a>.  i figured there was just enough to make a couple of hats for the girls.  turns out i had enough to make 4 with less than 30cm of yarn left over when i was done!  they made cute beanies but meg insisted she want BIG pompoms on them.  we went through the stash and she chose 4 colors to coordinate with the hats.  while watching tv i managed to make and trim down the first three, and she happily modeled the hats for me as i finished.  it was actually the perfect activity to do while huge flakes of snow fell steadily outside.<br \/>\nshe picked gold to go with the first of the purplier ones<br \/>\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/onebluestocking\/45299347824\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"megs new hats\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4822\/45299347824_1558c3ede7.jpg\" width=\"388\" height=\"500\" alt=\"megs new hats\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nnavy with the other<br \/>\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/onebluestocking\/46023627491\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"megs new hats\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4836\/46023627491_88c9d65b32.jpg\" width=\"405\" height=\"500\" alt=\"megs new hats\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nand purple with the first pinker one<br \/>\n<a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/onebluestocking\/45299344144\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"megs new hats\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm5.staticflickr.com\/4813\/45299344144_59fea73b43.jpg\" width=\"364\" height=\"500\" alt=\"megs new hats\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\ni still have one more pom to make.  but i ran out of time.<br \/>\ni think she did a great job of picking colors, but i&#8217;m not so sure about the size of the pompoms.  i think they look a bit big (in spite of my trimming) but she assures me that they are right on trend, and just what she wanted!
