{"id":4203,"date":"2018-09-22T11:11:06","date_gmt":"2018-09-22T17:11:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onebluestocking.ca\/blog\/?p=4203"},"modified":"2018-09-22T17:45:14","modified_gmt":"2018-09-22T23:45:14","slug":"bench-cushion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onebluestocking.ca\/blog\/?p=4203","title":{"rendered":"bench cushion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i decided my bench needs a bit of cushioning for travelling over rough bumpy roads.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/onebluestocking\/44106521374\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"bench pillow 1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1866\/44106521374_b75c218cd1.jpg\" width=\"368\" height=\"500\" alt=\"bench pillow 1\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\ni&#8217;m making glued ones since i wanted something fairly thin and flat. first i cut cardstock and trimmed till just a tiny bit smaller than the bench to allow room for the fabric to fold over. then cut pieces of flannel the exact size and glued them on.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/onebluestocking\/29889664467\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"bench pillow centered\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1925\/29889664467_7ec0227d69.jpg\" width=\"425\" height=\"500\" alt=\"bench pillow centered\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nthe fabric is pieces of silk dupioni i cut for bed pillows and didn&#8217;t use. luckily they were perfect size for this size. all three are iridescent with a different weft and warp. i placed the cardboard\/flannel combo on top but didn&#8217;t glue it.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/onebluestocking\/29889673507\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"bench pillow bottom\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1968\/29889673507_3b893b1320.jpg\" width=\"361\" height=\"500\" alt=\"bench pillow bottom\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n i glued the first edge and folded it over, then glued the long ends and folded them over as well tucking the corners in slightly so they don&#8217;t show<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/onebluestocking\/43015685970\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"bench pillows top\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1876\/43015685970_e6df226191.jpg\" width=\"391\" height=\"500\" alt=\"bench pillows top\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nand finished!&#8230;
